About Us

Gita Salem is quickly becoming one of the West Coast's hottest emerging designers.  The translation of his vision into textiles, garments, and lifestyle, is being adopted by some of the biggest style icons of our time.

Most notably, Gita Salem has been designing for Prince since he first opened shop in Hollywood in 2010.  Prince found Gita Salem's Melrose showroom and it was love at first site.  Since 2010, Gita Salem has designed most of the outfits Prince has worn on stage. Gita has earned the rarefied title of "the designer for Prince's camp", collaborating and dressing all of the artists supported by Prince.

The list of stars and celebrities goes on.  Gita often jokes that he designs clothes for "rock stars and people who dress like rock stars".  He has also had his designs appear in music videos, on stage, and in the day to day lives of, Madonna, Will.I.Am and Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, Azealia Banks, Muse, Evanescence, Taylor Momsen and The Pretty Reckless, Russell Brand, Skinny Puppy, Marilyn Manson, Young Jeezy, Chris Brown, T.I., David LaChapelle, Carmen Electra, and many more.

Gita Salem's showroom, conveniently located in central Hollywood, is one of the best kept secrets of many big costume designers.  Gita has worked closely with the costumers from HBO, CBS, FOX, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures, and more.  His designs have appeared on Glee, True Blood, Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, America's Got Talent, So You Think You Can Dance, Ugly Betty, iCarly, Burlesque the movie, and others.

Gita spends his time between Los Angeles, New York, Milan, and Bali.
